These Terms govern your use of the Tattou platform (tattou.co), including our website, apps, and related services. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Tattou.
Tattou is operated by Tattou LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16564819), with its registered office at Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, England, IP28 7DE ("Tattou", "we", "us", "our").
These Terms govern your use of the Tattou platform, available at tattou.co, including our website, apps, and related services (the "Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tattou.
• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Tattou is available to users in the United Kingdom and the United States. Prices are shown in the relevant artist's or studio's local currency (GBP or USD) and depend on where they're based, not where you're browsing from.
• Artists and studios must provide accurate information during onboarding, including completing identity verification through our payment provider (Stripe) before accepting paid bookings.
Tattou is a booking and business-management platform that connects clients with independent tattoo artists and studios. We provide the technology that enables discovery, quoting, booking, deposit payments, consent form management, and related tools.
Tattou is not a tattoo studio, and we do not provide tattooing services. Artists and studios using Tattou are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or representatives of Tattou. Any tattoo work, consultation, aftercare advice, or in-person interaction is solely between the client and the artist or studio. Tattou is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of any tattoo work.
4.1 Client accounts
Clients can browse artist and studio profiles, request quotes, and book appointments. You do not need an account to receive or respond to a quote sent directly to you by an artist or studio.
4.2 Artist and studio accounts
Artists and studios can build a public profile, portfolio, and flash catalogue at no cost. A paid subscription is required to appear in search and discovery, receive quote requests, and accept bookings.
Studio accounts operate independently and do not require an owner who is themselves a tattooing artist. A studio subscription includes 5 team seats, with additional seats available at an extra monthly cost.
4.3 Account responsibility
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you think your account has been compromised.
5.1 Pricing
Current subscription pricing for artists and studios is available at tattou.co/pricing. Tattou charges a flat monthly or annual subscription fee. We do not charge commission on bookings or deposits.
5.2 Billing
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
5.3 Founding member offers
Any discounted or promotional pricing (including founding member rates) is subject to the specific terms communicated at the time it was offered, and may be adjusted, discontinued, or superseded by updated terms with reasonable notice.
6.1 Quotes and bookings
Artists and studios set their own prices and can send quotes to anyone, whether or not they have a Tattou account.
6.2 Deposits
Each artist or studio sets their own deposit percentage, up to a maximum of 50% of the total quoted price. This percentage applies automatically to their bookings. Deposits are processed securely through Stripe.
6.3 Cancellations and refunds
Deposit refund and cancellation terms are set by the individual artist or studio and shown to the client before payment. Tattou does not set or guarantee refund policies on behalf of artists or studios, and is not a party to the underlying booking arrangement between client and artist/studio.
6.4 Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By using Tattou's payment features, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Tattou does not hold client funds directly — payments are routed via Stripe Connect to the relevant artist's or studio's connected account.
Tattou provides tools for artists and studios to send digital consent and health forms to clients as part of the booking process. Artists and studios are responsible for using consent forms that are appropriate for their jurisdiction and practice, and for obtaining any additional consent required by law.
Health information submitted through consent forms is encrypted and stored securely, and retained in line with our Privacy Policy.
Where available, Tattou's referral program allows eligible users to earn a share of subscription revenue from users they refer, subject to the specific terms of that program (including qualification periods, payout schedules, and caps), which are published separately and may be updated from time to time.
9.1 Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload (portfolio images, flash designs, profile information). By posting content, you grant Tattou a licence to display, host, and distribute it as part of operating the Platform.
9.2 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
• Post false, misleading, or infringing content
• Use the Platform to harass, discriminate against, or abuse others
• Attempt to circumvent Tattou's payment system for bookings made through the Platform
• Misuse the referral program, including through fraudulent or self-referred signups
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the Platform
See our separate Community Guidelines & Content Policy for full detail on acceptable content and conduct.
9.3 Reviews
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Tattou may remove reviews that violate our guidelines.
Artists and studios may display a "verified" badge once they've completed identity verification. Verification does not constitute Tattou's endorsement of the quality of an artist's or studio's work, and clients should exercise their own judgement when booking.
You can request deletion of your account at any time. Deletion is subject to a 30-day grace period, after which your account is anonymised and certain data permanently removed, in line with our Privacy Policy. Some records (such as payment and booking history) may be retained for longer where required by law.
Business accounts (artists/studios) with an active subscription or upcoming confirmed bookings may need to resolve these before deletion can proceed.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tattou is not liable for:
• The conduct, work, or services of any artist, studio, or client
• Any dispute between a client and an artist or studio
• Loss arising from a booking, cancellation, or refund dispute between users
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the law of your country or state of residence, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll let you know of material changes, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country or state of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local law — in which case that mandatory right is not affected by this clause.
